Health blogger threatened with jail time for advocating Paleo diet that cured his diabetes

Example of the Paleo-diet

The article linked here, is a scary example of how some government people are trying to stop people from getting healthy.  This blogger is being warned of possible jail time because he writes about his experience while on the paleo-diet, the so-called caveman diet.  The diet is pretty much everything except carbs.  Fish, meat, nuts, veggies, fruits and natural oils.  Nothing processed and minimal carbs.  High in protein and healthy fats (like omega 3).

He actually reversed his diabetes with this diet.

Because of this, he is telling everyone who reads his blog that drugs are not necessary for treating diabetes. And is that a good reason for the government to go after him?

  1. I’ve asked a doctor to direct me nutritionally and with exercise to reverse insulin resistance, he had little to no support in that direction but gladly prescribed me sickening albeit “affordable” meds that would allow me to continue on with my poor eating and lack of movement. Yes there is some horrible information on the internet but, there are a lot of real people, with real solutions that worked for them. Without being able to observe their personal testimonies I have no idea where I would be. This type of censorship defeats the purpose of the internet. More time should be spent on increasing a person’s deductive reasoning.

  2. My mom is diabetic too and she still is but now it’s controlled by strict diet. It’ not too late by eating healthy can really make a difference especially when you have family history.

  3. Readers have to take responsibility too. If diabetics follow this way of eating under doctor’s supervision and get to the point where they too can ween themselves from medication, that’s great!

Anyone with a medical problem should never follow advice from the internet without consulting their doctor. The government can’t prevent stupidity.
